Call for Applications for the training course – ‘Developing a Common Understanding for Quality Assurance in Africa’
The Harmonisation of African Higher Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation Initiative – ‘HAQAA Initiative’ – is proud to herewith announce a training course on Quality Assurance in Higher Education, targeting representatives from ministries, higher education commissions or accreditation agencies of all African countries.
The HAQAA Initiative has been established to support the development of a harmonised quality assurance and accreditation system at institutional, national, regional and Pan-African continental level. The HAQAA Initiative is funded by the European Commission (EC), in the context of the Africa-EU Strategic Partnership, and implemented by a consortium of University of Barcelona, the Association of African Universities (AAU), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European University Association (EUA). Under the Africa-EU Strategic Partnership, and in cooperation with the African Union, the EU seeks to support the creation of a revitalised, distinctive, attractive and globally competitive African higher education space, through enhanced intra-African collaboration. Between 2016 and 2019, the HAQAA Initiative will conduct a large number of capacity building activities, in order to facilitate the ‘Pan-African Quality Assurance and Accreditation Framework’ (PAQAF), which has been endorsed by the African Union. More information on PAQAF can be found on this link: http://www.aau.org/haqaa/related-initiatives/
