HAQAA is a consortium established to support the development of a harmonised quality assurance and accreditation system at institutional level, national, regional and Pan-African continental level. The consortium is managed by the University of Barcelona and consists of the Association of African Universities, the European Association of Universities, ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Activities have begun and will require the support of experts from ENICs/NARICs (European Network of Information Centres in the European Region / National Academic Recognition Information Centres in the European Union).
