This database is the property of the European Commission. The Association of African Universities has been entrusted with it for the duration of the contract to implement the HAQAA Initiative and, as a co-signatory of the contract, will respect the European Union regulations for the processing of personal data (article II.6.1 etc). The European and African Union Commissions and the HAQAA Initiative implementing consortium members shall use this data for internal purposes only and will not share them with any external third party. The data collected will be used for selection procedures for activities, training preparation and the general management of conference, events and activities related to the implementation of the HAQAA Initiative. Data may also used to so as to disseminate EU/AU mailings on subjects of related interest. Those in the database may be contacted for eventual contributions or advice on matters related to higher education in Africa. Data may be made available to the African Union Commission, regional and national bodies in charge of quality assurance in higher education and/or EU Delegations in the countries concerned should events in this field be organised and where contributions or participation of the individual concerned might be requested.
